Hori is the first and current Great Walnut of Nucilandia, and the Mayor of Solara, the country's largest city.
Biography ¶
Hori came to prominence in 2012 by founding Mlendea's House Republik, the incipient form of Nucilandia. He again came to prominence in early 2023 by co-founding the Ciupitist religion and assisting in the revitalisation of Enada, a town in the Brotherhood of the United Blocks that had been abandoned and left to decay, while serving as its Palatine.
Hori met Mib Boby in the 2010s, and the two became good friends.
Legacy ¶
Hokazuro ¶
Hori is one of the New Founding Fathers of Hokazuro, together with Gabi Kamikaze and Alex Azzuro. He settled there on 26 January 2012, around 8:48 PM, and became one of the principal figures in the city's early Romanianisation, construction, terraforming, commerce, and conflicts.
His first Hokazuro residence was a shelter inside a large hole created by repeated creeper explosions. He later covered the hole and built a small cottage above it, before demolishing the cottage to build a small castle. That castle reproduced an earlier Minetest-server castle, itself based on Hori's Minetest single-player world. The Hokazuro castle was later rebuilt as a replica in Enada in early 2023, while the earlier cottage received a replica in Newport in late 2023.
Enada ¶
Hori's legacy in Enada is that of a visionary leader who revitalised a moribund town. His leadership and foresight have been instrumental in the town's prosperity. His and Mib Boby's names are synonymous with Enada's prosperity.
His leadership has been instrumental in revitalising the town, and he is highly respected and revered by the town's residents. His actions have also attracted the attention of malicious entities, such as Îmhe, the Prince of Mills, who seek to undermine the town's prosperity.
With his vision and leadership, Hori oversaw the nationalisation of Enada's wealth and resources, including materials and food stores, which he later relocated to the newly constructed Local Public Warehouse and Subway structures.
Hori is also considered one of the heroes of The Zaganian Wars of Enada. The assistance from the Nucilandian Army in the defence of the town was invaluable, and he personally joined the conflict and led his troops through numerous battles. He later documented the events of the conflict in a book titled The Zaganian Wars.
Ciupitism ¶
Hori, together with Mib Boby, is considered to be one of the founders of Ciupitism, a polytheistic religion centred on Ciupitu and observed by numerous people in Nucilandia and the Brotherhood of the United Blocks.
He is viewed as one of Ciupitu's prophets and is revered by Ciupitists for his teachings and leadership, but principally for his role in discovering Ciupitu's divinity during The First Pinching and The Second Pinching, and for his determination to realise The Third Pinching. Due to his discovery and later rediscovery of Vasile Ciupitu with Mib Boby, Hori is considered one of the apostles of Ciupitism (Romanian: apostoli ciupiți, English: pinched apostles).
On 12 April 2023, Mib Boby informed Hori that Ciupitu had joined Templierii, both its political party and its military unit in eRomania. Hori had previously vowed that if Ciupitu joined Templierii, he would return to eRepublik, join the party, take it over, rename it Vasile Ciupitu, and replace its logo with Ciupitu's old profile picture. He and Mib Boby then started planning a future party-president election campaign, including support from Mib Boby's contacts and the controversial possibility of clone accounts for extra votes.
As a leader of Ciupitism, Hori is responsible for guiding the faith of its followers and ensuring that they live according to the tenets of the religion. He composed numerous sacred books and prayers, such as The Pinched's Pray and The Bucket's Pray. Hori is also responsible for interpreting the will of Ciupitu and issuing decrees on matters of doctrine and practice.
Hori keeps a painting of Vasile Ciupitu above his bed. He is a devout monarchist and, while active in Enada, was principally associated with Nucilandia, where he is Great Walnut.
Hori is known for his strict adherence to the teachings of Ciupitism and his unwavering commitment to the faith. He is deeply respected by Ciupitists for his moral and spiritual authority, and numerous people see him as a living embodiment of the principles of their religion. His leadership has been instrumental in the development and dissemination of Ciupitism throughout Nucilandia and the Brotherhood of the United Blocks.
Criticism ¶
Hori is also a controversial figure. His close associations with both the Ciupitist Church and the government of Nucilandia have led some to question the independence of Ciupitism from the state.
In summary, Hori's role in Ciupitism is central to the religion's identity and development. He is seen by numerous people as a powerful spiritual leader and a beneficent influence in the world, while others view him with suspicion and scepticism.
Additionally, Hori is suspected to have associations with Îmhe, due to his position as vice-chairman of Îmhe Incorporated, a highly controversial company that some consider criminal and an instrument through which Îmhe disseminates his influence and malevolence throughout the world.
