Nucilandia (High Nucian: Nucilandia, Low Nucian: Nuçilandia, Romanian: Nucilandia, Latin: Nucilandia, French: Nouclandie, German: Nutschland), previously known as Mlendea's House Republik, is a micronation in Romania and the virtual world. It is a monarchy led by the Great Walnut, currently Hori. The country maintains a considerable emphasis on the veneration of the Holy Walnut, which is believed to be the primordial walnut, from which all other walnuts descend, and is recognised as a source of life in the religion of Ciupitism.
Nucilandia's closest ally is the Brotherhood of the United Blocks.
The name Nucilandia finds its etymological roots in the fusion of the Nucian and Romanian languages. It is primarily derived from the word "nuci", which translates to "walnuts" in both languages. Additionally, the term incorporates the word "land", denoting a geographical area, followed by the prevalent suffix "ia", frequently utilised in the nomenclature of nations.
The resulting appellation, Nucilandia, can be interpreted to signify "The land of the walnuts" or "The country of the walnuts."
The exact origin of the name Nucilandia remains an enigma, as historical records do not definitively pinpoint its first usage. Nevertheless, there is a notable supposition proposed by Hori, the Great Walnut and father of the nation, who attributes the potential origination of the name to Mib Boby. However, despite Hori's account, conclusive evidence has yet to substantiate this assertion, leaving the true progenitor of the name in the annals of uncertainty.
The name Nucilandia maintains profound cultural and religious significance within the country. It alludes to the veneration of the esteemed Holy Walnut, a sacred entity revered by the people of Nucilandia. The walnut's symbolic value is deeply ingrained in the nation's traditions and spiritual convictions, making the name Nucilandia an embodiment of their reverence for this extraordinary nut.
As Nucilandia continues to evolve in its diverse cultural tapestry and national identity, the name remains a vital emblem of the country's rich and distinctive heritage linked to the revered walnut.
Nucilandia was first established on 5 September 2012.
Throughout its history, Nucilandia's cultural and religious significance, rooted in the worship of the Holy Walnut as the Mother of Life and later the Sun as the Father of Life, has shaped its unique identity.
Mlendea's House Republik (MHR) emerged on 5 September 2012, embodying a bold and experimental approach. Rejecting conventional norms, MHR embraced all and none of the world's ideologies, recognising even the most controversial beliefs, while not following any single one of them.
The nation's inclusive approach was symbolised in its dynamic flag, featuring diverse ideological symbols. As MHR sought stability, some ideas acquired traction, shaping its future direction. The transition to Nucilandia commenced during this period, with the name gradually increasing in prominence until the official reorganisation of the country on 21 May 2020.
Mlendea's House Republik remains a significant phase in Nucilandia's history, reflecting its founding principles of inclusivity and dynamic experimentation.
On 21 May 2020, Nucilandia embraced a momentous transition, shifting from a republic to a monarchy. This marked a significant turning point in the nation's history, with the adoption of a new flag and coat of arms to symbolise its renewed identity.
Nucilandia's transition to monarchy cemented its well-defined structure, shaping its future with stability and permanence.
In early 2023, Nucilandia demonstrated its commitment to its ally, the Brotherhood of the United Blocks, by sending a battalion to aid in the defence during The Zaganian Wars of Enada. This act of solidarity played a crucial role in achieving victory.
Nucilandia's role in this conflict further reinforced its bond with its ally.
On 2 March 2024, Hori, the Great Walnut of Nucilandia, issued Nucal Decree 12.62.1. The decree ordered the reinforcement of the national border near Enada through a system of static defences called StarCraft, intended to discourage border breaches and defend Nucilandian territory.
The decree required security walls along the land border to prevent unauthorised crossings and restrict Enada's expansion at the frontier. It also directed the construction of a missile turret as part of the system, with the offensive capability and range to target Enada if necessary.
The decree required Nucilandia to reject immediately any request from Enada, the Enada Citizens Party, or the Brotherhood of the United Blocks to redraw the border, treating such a request as an act of aggression. It further ordered the intensification of the covert actions previously authorised by Nucal Decree 12.40.1.
Finally, the decree directed the secret recovery of Nucilandian construction materials previously donated to Enada and their redistribution among Nucilandian settlements. It presented these measures as necessary to safeguard Nucilandia's sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity.
On 13 November 2025, during tensions at the Enada-Solara border, the Nucilandian government announced what it described as a "special military operation" intended to preserve security and stability in response to alleged extremist cells within Enada. It stated that Nucilandian and Brotherhood of the United Blocks leaders were communicating to secure a peaceful resolution.
On 14 November 2025, the two governments concluded the Treaty on Modification of the Nucilandia-FBU Border, also known as the "Treaty of Radu's Home in The Skies". Under the treaty, the half of the small lake between the cities' crossing point and the Nucilandian defence bunker passed from FBU administration to Nucilandia, while the hill between the crossing point and the Ferret Road near Bucket Saint Radu's "Bucket Transporter" house passed from Nucilandia to the FBU. The treaty limited the modification to those border segments and established the revised frontier as peaceful and permanent.
Nucilandia publicly declared the border conflict peacefully resolved the same day. It stated that both countries had reaffirmed their commitment to peace and cooperation, renewed alliance discussions, and agreed to expedite the replacement of their expired partnership treaty.
On 20 November 2025, Nucilandia announced that a draft for the renewed alliance treaty had already been presented to the FBU delegation and was proceeding toward finalisation and signature.
On 11 March 2024, Nucilandia commenced a population census scheduled to conclude on 15 April. On 24 June, it declared the Snagovian People's Republic an enemy of the nation, imposed a travel prohibition, and placed its military and secret services on heightened alert in coordination with the Brotherhood of the United Blocks.
On 31 December 2025, Nucilandia and the Brotherhood of the United Blocks concluded and brought into force a five-year alliance treaty, renewable by agreement. In March 2026, a security incident at the Great Walnut's residence resulted in the capture of a covert operative from the Kingdom of Ret; security protocols were subsequently lifted, and Cuș-Cuș and Oreo received the Medal of Honour and joined the Great Walnut's Honour Guard.
On 15 April 2026, Nucilandia prohibited access to TikTok throughout its territory, citing national security, privacy, surveillance, propaganda, and mental-health concerns. On 1 September 2026, its territorial-administrative reform entered into effect. On 5 September 2026, Nucilandia officially designated 21 March, the International Day of Forests, as a national holiday.
Nucilandia's monetary policy is regulated by the Bank of Nucilandia, and the national currency is the Nucilandian veva. The country operates an open market economy with heavy governmental regulation to ensure stability and control. Prefectures possess the authority to supersede selected national policies and regulations at the local level, permitting regional flexibility and adaptation.
The political landscape of Nucilandia is characterised by a unique system of governance, with the Great Walnut assuming the dual roles of both head of state and head of government.
The Great Walnut, an esteemed and revered figure in Nucilandian society, maintains a position of paramount importance in the nation's political structure. As the head of state, The Great Walnut personifies the unity and continuity of Nucilandia, symbolising the country's cultural heritage and values. As a head of government, The Great Walnut wields executive powers, playing a vital role in decision-making and policy implementation.
The selection and ascent of The Great Walnut to these significant positions are directed by tradition and sacred rituals that reflect the nation's profoundly rooted spiritual convictions. The process of succession is closely intertwined with the veneration of the Holy Walnut, as The Great Walnut is considered the terrestrial manifestation of divine authority.
As Nucilandia embraces modernity and globalisation, the political landscape is not impervious to change. Ongoing discussions and debates explore the potential augmentation of the nation's political structure to address contemporary challenges while preserving the central values rooted in their rich history.
Since 1 September 2026, Nucilandia's NuciCraft inhabited territory is organised as Talmeria Province, which contains seven prefectures. Nucilandia also has additional provinces, including Muruna Province, outside the NuciCraft universe.
The pre-2026 organisation of voivodeships and lands remains part of the historical record and is documented in Administrative Divisions of Nucilandia.
Nucilandia presents a vibrant and deeply established culture that is intricately interwoven with its religious convictions, linguistic diversity, and distinctive traditions.
Religion occupies a central position in the cultural fabric of Nucilandia. While the official religion is known as Ciupitism, the nation places a particularly considerable emphasis on the veneration of the Holy Walnut as the Mother of Life and the Sun as the Father of Life. Nucilandians are known as Sun praisers and worship the Sun alongside Vasile Ciupitu, the Bucket Saints, and the Holy Walnut, which is not to be confused with the Great Walnut. These sacred entities maintain profound significance in the lives of Nucilandians, shaping their values, rituals, and sense of interconnectedness with nature and the cosmos. Worship ceremonies and festivals dedicated to the Holy Walnut and the Sun are celebrated with considerable fervour, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual harmony among the populace.
Language plays a pivotal role in preserving the cultural heritage of Nucilandia. The country proudly recognises two official languages: High Nucian and Romanian.
The currency of Nucilandia is the Nucilandian veva, which derives its name from the Romanian word for squirrel, "veveriță". The squirrel is regarded as a sacred animal in Nucilandia, symbolising agility, resourcefulness, and an inherent connection to nature. The use of the veva not only facilitates economic transactions but also serves as a prompt regarding the nation's reverence for the natural world and the wisdom it embodies.
As Nucilandia embraces its past while embracing the future, the preservation and celebration of its unique cultural identity remain paramount. The fusion of religious convictions, linguistic diversity, and traditional practices forms a tapestry of culture that continues to flourish and evolve, shaping the vibrant essence of this extraordinary nation.
