Fox Forest is a small spruce forest on the northern edge of Hori's island in Enada, inhabited by the Holy Foxes of Enada.
The forest began after two wild foxes came to Hori's island. Hori cared for them and made the island more comfortable, including planting trees so it would feel more like home. The island now contains a small spruce forest with many mostly tame foxes.
The foxes are considered the Holy Foxes of Enada because they drink exclusively from the Holy Lake of Enada and have lived by it for their entire lives. Foxes that came from outside are not considered holy, but their descendants are holy as long as they live exclusively on the island or at least beside the lake.
On 8 April 2023, Hori visited the Fox Forest and found it empty. He had intended to breed the foxes again and name one HMF Vulpița, as requested by Queen Constanța I. Full of sorrow and despair, he searched across the canal and nearby lands, but found only wild foxes.
As he searched, Hori noticed that the surrounding wildlife behaved strangely: the birds were silent, the trees were still, and the air grew colder and stagnant. He eventually found the missing foxes in a clearing, where Îmhe appeared as a shadowed figure with an aura of evil. Îmhe admitted taking the foxes and promised to spare them if Hori made a sacrifice in his name. Hori refused, knowing the act would be dishonourable and would displease the Queen. He did not fight Îmhe, who is considered undefeatable, and vowed to search again until he found the foxes dead or alive. The foxes remained lost.
On 10 April 2023, a fox couple found its way to Hori's island. Hori captured and bred them, and the offspring was named HMF Vulpița, fulfilling the Queen's request. Later that day, the first-generation fox Vulpenia returned to the island. Hori leashed Vulpenia, brought her and HMF Vulpița into his throne room, made them indoor foxes, and prepared to breed them.
The next offspring was named Foxonia, a name Hori had prepared long before the Queen's request. Vulpenia and HMF Vulpița became both royal foxes and holy foxes, and their descendants became the new generation intended to repopulate the Fox Forest.
