Hokazuro is an active town in Kreezland Prefecture, Talmeria Province, Nucilandia. It serves as the administrative seat of Kreezland Prefecture and was historically the seat of Bloodcraft County. It is bordered by the sea to the north and east, and has the nearby village of Frigonița to its north-west as one of its colonies.

Name

The name "Hokazuro" is a creative amalgamation of the names of the city's New Founding Fathers: Hori, Gabi Kamikaze, and Alex Azzuro. It preserves Ho from Hori, ka from Kamikaze, and zuro from Azzuro.

The name records the trio who reshaped the earlier settlement into the town known today.

History

Hokazuro has a rich and complex history that spans from its early settlement by German pioneers to its transformation into a vibrant and influential town in Bloodcraft County. The town's history is marked by significant events, visionary leadership, and a dynamic interplay of cultural influences.

Early Settlement

The region now known as Hokazuro was originally settled by German pioneers in late 2011. The founders, Nils Bloody, Sunniix, and Cyco, known as the "Old Founding Fathers," established the initial settlement. They were drawn to the area's potential for development and its scenic mountainous terrain.

The history of Hokazuro is a testament to the vision, ambition, and resilience of its founders. From its early days as a German settlement to its transformation into a bustling city, Hokazuro has continually evolved, adapting to challenges and leveraging opportunities. The city's rich history is marked by innovation, conflict, collaboration, and exploration; laying a strong foundation for its growth and prosperity.

Romanianisation

In January 2012, three romanian settlers arrived: Hori, Gabi Kamikaze, and Alex Azzuro; who would later become known as the "New Founding Fathers." Their arrival marked a turning point in Hokazuro's history.

From the outset, Hori, Kamikaze, and Azzuro were territorial and made their part of the town as exclusive as possible. They considered themselves and their constructions superior to those of the German settlers, and they attempted to construct larger and grander structures so the Germans would envy them. They also built a huge Romanian flag on a mountainside between Hori's house and Kamikaze's house.

Territorial Expansion and Conflict

From the outset, Hori, Gabi Kamikaze, and Alex Azzuro were territorial and sought to make their part of the town more beautiful and more exclusive. Their efforts eventually led to a series of conflicts with the original German settlers.

Around 9 February 2012, the Romanians launched a campaign of sabotage versus the Germans. They set fires, vandalised German properties at night or whenever the victims were absent, and attempted to censure the Germans for the damage whenever an opportunity appeared. The campaign was intended to take the town by driving the German settlers away and impeding their progress.

This campaign was malicious, but it was highly effective and materially beneficial for Hori, Kamikaze, and Azzuro. Numerous German settlers departed, while the three acquired some of their properties and razed others to the ground.

A particularly challenging target was a house on top of a mountain near Alex Azzuro's home. It was a prime target for Hori and Gabi Kamikaze, who admired it and considered it beautiful. It proved very difficult to vandalise, but it was finally breached and set on fire on 10 February 2012. After the proprietor departed and abandoned the ruin, Hori requested Nils Bloody, the principal administrator, to transfer the property to him. The request was approved, after which the house was rebuilt and enhanced.

Development and Urbanization

With the departure of many German settlers, the Romanians took control of the town and started extensive development projects.

Many of the ruins were razed and the natural landscape restored, while some were retained and rebuilt. One such example is the mountain home, whose property was acquired by Hori, who rebuilt it in its original design, with some enhancements.

Gabi Kamikaze's home was located inside the base of a mountain and eventually extended upward and outward. Hori's first home was a shelter inside a large hole in the ground created by repeated creeper explosions. He later covered the hole and built a small cottage above it, with the previous shelter becoming part of its basement. This cottage was demolished when Hori built his small castle, which was a replica of a castle from a Minetest server that was itself a replica of another castle from Hori's Minetest single-player world. The Hokazuro castle was later rebuilt as another replica in Enada in early 2023, while a replica of the cottage was built in Newport in late 2023.

Alex Azzuro's home was built on the side of a mountain near the other two homes. It eventually expanded outward and resembled a huge concrete apartment block embedded into the mountain side.

Exploration

The spirit of exploration played a crucial role in Hokazuro's history, leading to the discovery and settlement of new territories.

In early 2012, Hori, driven by his adventurous spirit and a desire of both him and Gabi Kamikaze to find new lands with a colder, snowy climate, embarked on a maritime expedition. His journey across the Bloody Sea led him to an untouched, snow-covered island, which became known as "The Island in The North".

Another find was a large new land on the other side of the Bloody Sea, which they called "The New Continent" or simply "The Continent". A japanese-style pagoda was built by Hori, as well as a small medieval fortress not far from it.

Key Infrastructure Projects

Throughout early 2012, several significant infrastructure projects were undertaken to enhance Hokazuro.

Feuding and Resolution

In March 2012, a conflict arose between Hori and Gabi Kamikaze over a prime piece of land north of the lake, between Kamikaze's house and Azzuro's mountain with Hori's vacation home. The plot became available after the ruins of an abandoned German home were razed and the area was landscaped.

They both wanted the plot for their own expansion. Kamikaze claimed it because it was beside his home, while Hori argued that Kamikaze had several other nearby empty plots and that Hori's own castle was surrounded by structures and a large mountain, leaving him without comparable room to expand. The feud intensified, and the two became seriously furious with each other. Hori called Kamikaze vengeful, knowing Kamikaze would react severely because Azzuro had previously called him that and the exchange had ended poorly. Eventually, Kamikaze conceded, and Hori built a modern white house on the plot, with a swimming pool in the garden.

Agricultural and Urban Expansion

The town continued to expand with new agricultural and residential projects.

A large maze with traps and challenges was built on the town's outskirts by Alex Azzuro in early April 2012.
