Canopis, nicknamed The Forest Hideout, is a small, well-defended settlement located in the heart of a dense forest in the Kingdom of Nucilandia. Founded by Hori on 30 August 2014, it began as a humble camp during an exploration of the lands north of Newport.
Name ¶
The name "Canopis" is derived from the word "canopy", which refers to the uppermost layer of foliage in a forest, with the addition of the termination "is". This name choice reflects the close connection between the infrastructure and culture of Canopis and the forest it resides in.
History ¶
Canopis was originally established by Hori, who was leading an expedition into the uncharted territories north of Newport soon after its founding. The initial encampment quickly evolved into a more permanent settlement due to its strategic position and the abundance of resources.
