Bloodorf (Low Nucian: Sânğești, Romanian: Sângești) is a commune in Kreezland Prefecture, Talmeria Province, in the Kingdom of Nucilandia. Founded by Cyco in 2012, Bloodorf is a distinctive settlement with a rich history and robust defenses. It is settled primarily by Germans, reflecting the cultural heritage of its founders.

Geography

Bloodorf is situated on a sandy plain in a temperate climate zone. The town lies to the south-west of Hokazuro, nestled within a region characterized by its cooler temperatures and semi-arid conditions. The sand plains around Bloodorf provide a unique landscape that contrasts with the more mountainous terrain of other areas in Bloodcraft County.

History

Bloodorf was established in 2012 by Cyco, one of the original German pioneers of Hokazuro and the Bloodcraft region. Seeking to create a well-defended german settlement after Hokazuro was taken over by Romanians, Cyco chose the sandy plains for their strategic value and ease of construction, and more importantly because of the neighbouring jungle to the west, which he wanted to have access to. The town quickly became a hub for German settlers who were looking for a new place to call home.

Layout

The layout of Bloodorf is notably square-shaped, enclosed by cobblestone walls that serve as the town's primary defense. The walls are equipped with basic battlements, and a series of simple towers at the corners, providing defensive positions for the town's inhabitants.

Surrounding the walls is a moat, adding another layer of defense against potential invaders. The moat not only serves as a physical barrier but also contributes to the town's medieval aesthetic, reminiscent of classic European fortifications.

Culture

Bloodorf is predominantly settled by Germans, reflecting the origins of its founder, Cyco, and the early settlers of the region. The town maintains a cultural connection to its German roots, with traditions and customs that highlight its heritage. The community in Bloodorf is close-knit, with a strong emphasis on mutual support and collective defense.

Economy

The economy of Bloodorf is primarily based on agriculture and trade. While traditional farming is difficult due to the sandy nature of the region, the town fully utilises the resources offered by the neghbouring jungle. The town also engages in trade with nearby settlements, including Hokazuro, benefiting from the exchange of goods and resources.
