Arkala (High Nucian: Arcala), previously known as Burghezia (Low Nucian: Burgezia), is a village in Meridia Prefecture, Talmeria Province, in the Kingdom of Nucilandia. Its history includes several notable events that have shaped its destiny. During its early years, it belonged to the Brotherhood of the United Blocks and participated in the Friendly Towns Programme.
Originally part of the Brotherhood of the United Blocks, Burghezia became embroiled in a controversy that disrupted its relations with neighbouring urban centres.
The town suddenly severed communications with the FBU and Nucilandia. Once this was detected, authorities from both countries jointly conducted an investigation within the town's confines to assess the situation. During this investigation, they found the town's administration guilty of the crime under investigation: the pilfering of resources from the nearby city of Enada. They immediately began recovering the stolen resources and securing them in Enada's and Solara's warehouses, while also denying the Burghezian townsfolk access to them, effectively excluding them from the Friendly Towns Programme.
Shortly afterwards, on 10 July 2023, the townspeople of Burghezia initiated a rebellion, voicing their dissent concerning the punitive measures imposed upon them and attacking neighbouring territory and infrastructure. The rebellion was rapidly suppressed, as the joint forces of the Brotherhood of the United Blocks and Nucilandia deployed their peacekeeping forces. Following the suppression of the uprising, the town's inhabitants faced severe repercussions: they were expelled from Burghezia and banished from both countries.
Subsequently, Burghezia entered a period of desolation, with its vacant streets and the structures of its once-prosperous community standing as reminders that the FBU and Nucilandia do not show mercy to those who betray them.
On 28 July 2023, the town of Burghezia and its surrounding areas were officially transferred to the Kingdom of Nucilandia. The transition transformed the town into sovereign Nucilandian territory and provided an opportunity for its revitalisation as the seat of the newly established Burghezia County.
On 14 August 2023, Hori, Voivode of the former Solara Voivodeship, issued Voivodal Decree 11.223.1. The decree directed the resettlement of the abandoned town of Burghezia under Stefy, its newly appointed Palatine, and renamed it Arkala. It also appointed Stefy Prefect of Burghezia County, reaffirming the commitment to develop the county and improve its living space and standards.
On 26 February 2024, Hori issued Voivodal Decree 12.57.1, dissolving Burghezia County and incorporating its territory into Solara County. The decree reclassified Arkala as a village, voided Burghezia County's previous decrees, laws, and regulations, and extended Solara County's legislation to the incorporated territory.
