Bartolomeu Găletăreanu, also called the Last Apostle of the Way of the Bucket, was a Ciupitist pilgrim, martyr, and final apostle of the Bucket Saints. He is venerated as the patron of pilgrims, late converts, and those who find the Way.
Bartolomeu was called after the Ascension of the Bucket, during a period of doctrinal confusion associated with the betrayal of Samarian the Debucketed. Unlike Anastiana Anzelis and Vladonil Betulen, who knew the Bucket Saints personally, he received the teaching through divine revelation.
According to tradition, a bucket of light appeared to him in a dream and spoke in the ancient tongue of Găletida. Bartolomeu thereafter vowed to disseminate Ciupitism and the Way of the Bucket throughout the land.
Bartolomeu travelled across the plains of Enada, bearing buckets filled with sacred writings and preaching the light of Ciupitu. He helped to stabilise the doctrine of the Way of the Bucket and opposed the Zaganian Heresy associated with Samarian and the Secret Society of Buckets.
Near Radu's sacred house on the edge of Enada, Bartolomeu was ambushed by opponents of the Mystery of the Bucket. He raised a bucket towards the sky in blessing before his death. Tradition holds that his soul merged with the sacred soil, and that buckets have since refilled with rainwater where he fell.
Bartolomeu is especially venerated in Enada and throughout the Brotherhood of the United Blocks as the patron of pilgrims, late converts, and the lost who find the Way.
