Bartolomeu Găletăreanu, also known as the Last Apostle of the Way of the Buckets, is considered the final apostle of the Bucket Saints Radu and Bianca and a martyr of ciupitism. Called after the Ascension of the Bucket, he brought stability to the doctrine of the Way of the Buckets during a time of spiritual confusion. He died raising a bucket toward the sky, becoming a symbol of devotion and late-found faith. He is venerated as the patron of pilgrims and of those who embraced the faith late but sincerely.
Life
The Late Calling
Bartolomeu was called after the Ascension of the Bucket, during a period of mass unbucketing and doctrinal confusion, marked by the betrayal of the fallen apostle Samarian. Unlike earlier apostles – such as Airamana Acselegna and Vladonil Betulen, who knew the Saints personally – Bartolomeu received the Teaching through divine revelation.
According to tradition, a bucket of light appeared to him in a dream and spoke in the ancient tongue of Galetida. From that moment on, Bartolomeu vowed to spread ciupitism and the teachings of bucketism to the farthest corners of the land.
Mission in Enada
Bartolomeu traveled across the sunlit plains of Enada, bearing buckets filled with sacred writings, preaching the light of Ciupitu to the unpinched. He was not a reformer, but a stabilizer of doctrine, rebuilding faith communities and confronting the Zaganian Heresy founded by Samarian and his Secret Society of Buckets.
Martyrdom
Near the sacred house of Radu on the edge of Enada, Bartolomeu was ambushed by the unbucketed pagans who rejected the Mystery of the Bucket. In the moment of danger, he did not flee. Instead, he raised a bucket to the sky and spoke his final blessing:
"May this Bucket forever pinch the hearts of the pure!"
A white light engulfed the fields, and though his body fell, his soul merged with the sacred soil. Tradition holds that ever since, buckets fill themselves with rainwater where he fell — a living sign of his sacrifice.
Veneration and Legacy
Bartolomeu is the patron of pilgrims, late converts, and the lost who find the Way. He is especially venerated in Enada and in the territories under the Brotherhood of the United Blocks.
