Arkala (Nucian: Arcala), previously known as Burghezia (Nucian: Burgezia), is a village located in the picturesque Solara County, Solara Voivodeship of the Kingdom of Nucilandia. This charming town, with its rich history and scenic beauty, has undergone a series of notable events that have shaped its destiny. During its early days, it belonged to the Brotherhood of the United Blocks and was part of the Friendly Towns Programme.
History
Rebellion
Originally a part of the Brotherhood of the United Blocks, Burghezia found itself embroiled in a controversy that shook its relations with neighboring cities.
The town suddenly severed communications with the FBU and Nucilandia. Once that was noticed, authorities from both both countries jointly conducted an investigation within the town's confines to assess the situation. While doing this, found the town's administration to be guilty of under crime they were investigating: the pilfering of resources from the nearby city of Enada. They immediately began recovering the stolen resources and securing them in Enada's and Solara's warehouses, while also cutting access to them to the burghesian townsfolk, effectively kicking them out of the Friendly Towns Programme.
Shortly after, on 10 July 2023, the townspeople of Burghezia initiated a rebellion, voicing their dissent against the punitive measures taken against them, and began attacking the neighbouring lands and infrastructure. The rebellion was swiftly suppressed, as the joint forces of Brotherhood of the United Blocks and Nucilandia both deployed their peacekeeping forces. Following the quashing of the uprising, the inhabitants of the town faced severe repercussions: they were expelled from their town and banished from both countries.
Subsequently, Burghezia fell into a period of desolation, with its empty streets and buildings of the once-thriving community standing as haunting reminders that the FBU and Nucilandia do not show mercy upon those that betrayed them.
Land transfer
On 28 July 2023, the town of Burghezia, along with its surrounding areas, was officially transferred to the Kingdom of Nucilandia. The transition marked the town's transformation into sovereign Nucilandian territory, providing an opportunity for its revival and resurgence, as the seat of the newly-formed Burghezia County.
Rebirth
The dawn of 14 August 2023 brought a new chapter for Burghezia. The town was granted to Stefy, a visionary leader, who was bestowed with the prestigious title of Palatine. With boundless determination and an unwavering commitment to the town's renaissance, Stefy embarked on an ambitious journey of redevelopment and reform, under the new name of Arkala.
