Global Nucicraft Time (GNCT) is a synchronized time standard used on the Nucicraft Minecraft server. It ensures that all players on the server experience the same time of day simultaneously, enhancing gameplay immersion and coordination.
Overview
GNCT operates by replacing the default in-game time mechanism with a longer day length. As is the case for vanilla Minecraft, the time is the same through the entire world, ensuring synchronisation and uniformity for all players regardless of location.
Implementation
The implementation of GNCT involves server-side configurations and the use of modified server software. It is maintained and updated by Hori, the owner of the Nucicraft server, to ensure balanced gameplay, compatibility with Minecraft updates and smooth operation.
A GNCT day takes 25 minutes, 15 of which consist of daylight and 10 for the night.
Benefits
- Enhances realism and immersion by maintaining a balanced, longer, and consistent day-night cycle.
- Simplifies coordination for server-wide activities and role-playing scenarios.
